Holiday Inn Express & Suites Greensboro-(I-40 Wendover) by IHG

The beds and pillows are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, the lighting is good, and the air conditioning works well, in my opinion. The staff have also been great. I usually stay here for about 20 days a month for work, and I've spent 60 nights here this year, so I genuinely like the hotel. The problem is that stays booked through a third party don't earn me points here, even though other hotels where I stay let me collect them. I've tried contacting corporate after all those nights, but they haven't helped. After spending that much money, getting nowhere is really frustrating. I would've chosen this place over every other hotel I've tried if I'd earned the points. Now I don't look forward to coming back. Corporate is a joke.

We had to leave another hotel in a hurry at 2am, and Ashley at the front desk was incredibly kind and caring when we arrived. She went out of her way to help us. Holiday Inn should recognize how much she adds to the hotel.

The HVAC in my room made so much noise that I couldn't sleep. I thought it was coming from outside the first night, then realized on my second and last night that it was the unit in my room. They offered to move me at 5am, but by then I was ready to check out and go. Management showed no empathy or understanding. Stay next door instead.

Nadine is a star, so cheerful, sweet, efficient, professional, and helpful. Bernard is on the ball and knows his stuff. I like the duvets, hooks, octogon mirror, roomy drawers, desk, science and ovation channels, fridge, and microwave. The pillows are fine, too. We stayed for a month. There are some frustrating things: the mattress seems to sag a bit more every night, and the decor feels extremely blah and depressing. The art was okay this time, but that yellow desk chair is ugly and uncomfortable. The bathroom and between-bed lights are painfully bright, so we tried covering them. Sometimes the freshly washed linens smell so strongly of chlorine it feels awful, especially since I'm asthmatic and need to breathe. The heater and AC are loud and annoying.
