Two Trees Inn

The staff made a strong impression throughout our visit. When my husband had forgotten his razor, the front desk kindly gave us a few complimentary shaving kits. They'd also set up a crib for our 8-month-old son. A TV in our clean king suite was broken, but maintenance arrived in under five minutes after I called and replaced it. He was friendly and even changed the batteries in one of my son's toys while he was there. The property was beautiful and relaxing, surrounded by woods and well maintained. Our room was mostly quiet, with only occasional sounds of running overhead. The restaurant and bar had lots of seating, very friendly and professional staff, flavorful food in large portions despite the limited menu, and drinks made just right. Breakfast was complimentary but underwhelming, with limited choices and no hot food. The staff kept it stocked, cleaned the tables, offered to cut fruit, and came by to say good morning. We booked this mini vacation because my husband wanted a pool and hot tub, and this hotel had both on offer. The hot tub was broken, and it didn't look like it had just stopped working that day. The pool water was incredibly cold and didn't seem heated, so we lasted only a few minutes. I regret staying that long with my little one. We were excited for his first pool experience, and the disappointment was real since those amenities were the reason for booking. I know things break, especially as the hotel had just reopened that month, but the website, booking page, or social media should have mentioned the hot tub wasn't working. Other hotels often make that clear. I'd consider returning once the pool and hot tub work properly and the hotel has had more time to settle after reopening. The property has potential.

The old Two Trees charged $40 for dogs, which seemed reasonable. Now the pet fee is $150, which feels extortionate. If pets aren't wanted, they should just say no pets. I won't stay here again.

Matches tavern is wonderful, and the location is great. The rooms have been updated, and the rates are competitive with other competitors. Staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful.

The suite worked perfectly for my daughter's birthday sleepover. The girls had a blast, and I felt confident they were safe. Check-in was quick and painless. There was a good-sized indoor pool, along with the basic things you expect, like coffee and water.
