Santuit Inn

The room was warm, the cable worked, and they gave us more than 10 channels. There was also a bar table for eating and sitting. It could be a much better little motel with updated beds, fresh paint on the walls and ceilings instead of spot painting, and new shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathrooms. This was a last-minute stay, and the room was ready early 😊. It was tidy, but the bed wasn’t comfortable. There was no microwave or fridge, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash could use replacing with fresh supplies in a holder in the shower. I could hear the heaters and TV from next door.

There were lovely flowers out front, and enough parking beside the rooms. The room was clean and tidy, though it needs a fresh coat of paint and updated renovations. It was a nice, quiet place with restaurants nearby, and the staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed.

The bed with its pillow-top mattress was comfortable, and the room was nicely decorated. They let us check in early, and the air conditioning and fan worked, which helped drown out the traffic noise. We could see some renovations had been done, but the room still needs work. It smelled so musty that my husband and I were congested and had headaches within 20 minutes, so I ran to the drugstore for allergy medicine. There was mold on the bathroom mini blind, and although we were told there was internet, it didn’t work. The shower stall was very small. When we checked out in the morning, the office was closed and no one was there. The sign said to leave the key in the room, so I couldn’t discuss how bad the mold smell was.

The room was very clean and had no strange smells. It was simple, with a decent bed, clean linens, flat screen TV, a bureau or two, and a small but decent bathroom. There was only one outlet by the bed, already taken up by two lamps. If you use your phone as an alarm, it’ll be about 6 feet away unless you bring an extension cord. My wife and I stayed at the Santuit Inn, June 11-12, 2016, for a wedding nearby. We booked the day before. The wedding was at 1:00, while check-in was recommended for around 3:00. The Inn let us arrive at noon, get checked in and take the key, then wait until the room was cleaned before going in. We were very happy with that arrangement. The lobby is small and just for check-in. It was very clean, and although breakfast isn’t provided, there was a pot of coffee and donuts while we were there. There’s no room service, but a couple of pizza places deliver and are within walking distance. Nearby on foot are a small market, an ice cream shop, a pizza restaurant, Bess Eaton Donuts, and a decent little place serving breakfast and lunch, though I’m not sure about dinner. All in all, a nice place in the heart of quaint Cap Cod. We were happy with our one-night stay and would consider going back for a quick, convenient weekend at the Cape.
