State Line Inn

The State Line was very dirty, with cockroaches everywhere. The cleaning ladies were weird, and the maintenance man was a weirdo too. I don't recommend this hotel at all. Stay away.

I've stayed here regularly over the past couple of months because the location is convenient and rooms are available. The staff person is always friendly, but the building always smells terrible and cleanliness is poor. Rooms have had lots of broken things, including toilet seats, mirrors, furniture, mini fridge, and HVAC unit. I always have to ask for toilet paper, and there are never tissues or other paper products. They do have plastic cups, but I don't know of anywhere to get ice. The bedding has had burn holes and permanent marker designs, and the pillows are bad enough that you should bring your own. I could maybe overlook some of that if it were dirt cheap, but it isn't. On my last stay, the toilet in the first room was so filthy I had to wipe it before sitting down. The bathroom floor had sticky, partly dried urine that got on my shoes, and the mini fridge leaked into the bed area and wasn't working. They moved me to another room, where the furniture was dusty, the toilet seat was broken, the comforter had a burn hole, and I ran out of toilet paper twice. Still, the staff were friendly as always and a room was available as always. Hmm, wonder why. 🫶😉

I stayed one night, and at 7 am someone woke us going from room to room asking for money. He said there was an emergency and promised to pay us back. The room and towels were dirty, and there was a dead bug in the bathroom that looked like a roach. There was also a pest machine in the room to keep pests away. No one was at the office when we first arrived, and the TV channels were limited.

The manager was rude. I was ready to extend my stay, but he told me to wait outside, so I left and got a ride to a better hotel. My truck was at the shop across the street, and I was willing to put up with another night. The towels were dingy, I felt like bugs had bitten me overnight, and I had to shower again in the morning. There was no toilet paper in the room.
