French Quarter Inn

It’s quaint, and the people were super nice. The room could use an update, but it was very clean. I’d stay here again.

The view was amazing, and our bathroom had a jacuzzi. The hotel is older, but they do a great job making you feel special. A train went by in the middle of the night, the only downside, though that’s outside the hotel’s control.

The employees were very nice and did their best to accommodate us, but we eventually left because sleeping on the floors seemed more comfortable than the beds. We changed rooms three times. Every bathroom had mold and mildew, and the suite on the third floor smelled like a gym locker room. The rooms were dated, the mattress felt 30 years old, and the stand-up AC units barely worked. The TVs didn’t work either, though all we wanted was a quiet movie night before driving home. We stayed June 8th, a Sunday, when the whole hotel was empty. We were exhausted after our wedding and didn’t feel up to driving home, which was mistake number one. The place used to be beautiful, and it’s sad to see it now as the worst place in town. It’s conveniently close to downtown, and the outside is inviting, but don’t waste your money here. Stay in an Airbnb!

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the service was excellent. We had a beautiful view of the river and the bridge lights at night. The staff were authentically friendly and helpful.
