Rodeway Inn

We paid $115, the most of any place on this trip, and the owner was rude and didn't care when we spoke to him. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you can avoid it. We had to change rooms because the sheets were dirty, then found the bathroom floor and the area around the bed dirty in the next room too. In the morning the shampoo bottle was filled with something like water. We only stayed because it was late and there was black ice.

It was 32 degrees the night we stayed, and the room wasn't much warmer. The heater barely worked, and all we had was a sheet and a tissue-thin blanket or something like that. There wasn't a closet, drawer, or anywhere to hang things, and the parking lot had holes a foot deep. I won't say we'll never stay again, but we won't if we can possibly avoid it.

I reserved three rooms two weeks ahead, but on arrival they told me there was no reservation. Luckily, they were still able to rent us rooms. All three were filthy, with garbage left by previous guests, half-drunk soda, and shampoo bottles. I honestly don't think they even changed the bedding. The smoke alarm in my room was wrapped in plastic, and the curtains didn't cover the windows. There was garbage all over outside too. Save your money and stay in Burns if you're headed north, or somewhere south of here. The price wasn't worth what we got.

I'm in my room now and really disappointed. The shower water was warm, but I can't think of many good things about this stay. The heater smelled bad when I turned it on because I was a little cold, and after five seconds it set off the smoke alarm. You can easily hear people outside, the curtains barely cover the window, and there was unfinished work in the room that looked abandoned. The Rodeway Inn feels like a gas station in a scary movie, and it doesn't make me feel safe.
