The room was spotless, with a modern bathroom and good water pressure. The place has been nicely remodeled from another chain and is well cared for, with professional staff. There’s a compact but well-equipped exercise room, coin or card laundry, and continental breakfast.

The front desk clerk was kind, and the location worked well, but the condition of the hotel was awful. A machine, which I assume was an air purifier, was running in the second-floor hallway, and the carpet on the way to my room was extremely dirty. Inside, the smell was even worse. I tried to give it a chance because the clerk had been so nice, and I felt embarrassed telling her I had to leave, but then I spotted little blood stains on the comforter as I started to put my things down. I was so upset that I showed my husband the room over FaceTime. The filthy floors, stained bedding, and smell made me feel sick, so I checked out right away. Even after I told the clerk about the blood on the comforter, I wasn't offered a refund. The whole situation left me angry and embarrassed.

We booked four rooms at Clarion Pointe in McDonough, Georgia, for my family, and every room was in unacceptable shape. The bedding and mattresses were stained, and it was clear the rooms hadn't been cleaned or maintained properly. We felt especially uneasy with children along. We only expected somewhere basic that was clean and safe, but the conditions across all four rooms felt unsanitary. For what we paid, that was unacceptable. I requested a refund and had to book another hotel. I'll report the filth to the health department, and I wouldn't recommend staying here unless cleanliness and management improve substantially.

The employees were kind and generous, and they helped me through some tough times during a stay that was amazing. The owner clearly takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming place. I felt important and welcome here, and I'll always recommend this hotel.
