The location makes getting around easy, with shops like Macys, Tj Max, Kohls, Ulta and restaurants such as Panda, Panera, and Chipotle in the plaza. It’s also close to the main highways and not far from Georgia landmarks. Downstairs, the lobby has TVs and can be a quiet spot to read or get work done. The hotel also has laundry, a small gym, a pool, and a jacuzzi. The washer costs $3.75 and the dryer $3.25, and 30 minutes in the dryer left our clothes toasty. Our room was spacious and clean, with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, and ironing board. The shower had strong pressure and the water got nice and hot. Breakfast runs from 6am to 10am, with a choice of ordering from the menu or having the $14 buffet. It’s basic but enough to start the day, with eggs, bacon, potatoes, bread, fruit, yogurt, and drinks. The coffee was good. Dinner is available too, at reasonable prices, and the food was good, especially the steak, which I thought was better than at other hotels. The kitchen staff and front desk team were pleasant. I had a great stay overall, though housekeeping could do a bit better and the gym treadmills need some maintenance.

I’m on the road a lot for work, around 65 hotel nights a year, and most stays are pretty average. This one at Hilton Garden Inn in McDonough stood out in a good way. It’s clean and well kept, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby and easy access to I 75. The thing that really made the stay was the service. The front desk was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant staff were great. Paula welcomed me at breakfast each morning with a smile and such an upbeat attitude. It made eating there a pleasure. You’ve got a repeat customer whenever work brings me near McDonough. Keep it up!

We haven’t stayed yet, but I’m already looking forward to it. During the holidays, when everything can feel stressful, it meant a lot to have someone take my concerns seriously. Life listened and went out of her way to help make sure we could have a good stay. Thanks to her, we can look forward to the trip with peace of mind. Thank you, Life! I’d booked here and later realized a couple of changes were needed to make it work for our family. I called and Life assured me they could accommodate them. When I got back in touch a couple of weeks later, she remembered our first conversation and confirmed everything was all set. That’s more than great customer service, it’s a priceless blessing.

Sherie helped our young daughter feel safe for the night after she ran into a scam with an air B&B and ended up in a bad area while traveling from Michigan to Florida. She arranged a safe room for her, which put our minds at ease, then personally messaged to check on her. We’re so grateful. Thank you so much.

The server was really nice, but the breakfast buffet wasn’t very good. Room lighting was awful, and at night there was no bathroom light, so you had to switch on the overhead one, bright enough to wake the dead. The coffeemaker didn’t work either. Ugh.
