Atria Hotel and RV McGregor

I paid $200 for two nights, on September 19 and 20, and was refunded only $26 after asking for most of my money back. The room looked nice, but it needs better maintenance and management. When I first opened the door, a foul, musty smell hit me. Air freshener cleared it, but the next morning I opened the blinds and found mold on the TV stand legs, table, nightstand, and floor in front of the air conditioner. The microwave was dirty, too. My card key kept giving me trouble, so I had to put a towel around both the inside and outside door handles to get back in after taking my four small emotional support dogs out. I told the girl at the desk, and she came to take pictures. Do not stay here unless you have no choice.

This is a small hotel in a small town, so anyone expecting a five-star room might want to look at the more expensive hotels in Waco. If you want a decent room at a reasonable price with friendly staff, though, this is a great place. We stay whenever we're in the area because we love it and the people. Rooms have always been clean and in working order. Whenever something wasn't right or I had an issue, it was addressed ASAP as soon as we asked. The manager and staff are helpful and friendly, and they do their best to make guests feel welcome.

There was a dirty pillow that looked like it had urine stains, and stains on the bedspread cover as well. The sofa bed in the second room was collapsing, with wires you could feel through the mattress. We stacked two comforters on it just to sleep. The air conditioner started blowing hot air if we set it low enough to cool the room, and the wall fan meant to move air into the second room didn't work, so we bought a fan. The clock radio kept making static noises, so we unplugged it. The sink stopper was broken, the shower handles were dirty, and there was a slit at the bottom of the ice bucket. Dead crickets sat in the pool the whole time we were there, and the tables outside the pool area were dirty. I asked the receptionist for a rag to wipe them down. She laughed like it wasn't a big deal, so I cleaned them myself with wet paper towels. I took pictures, but the site won't let me post them.

Great truck parking, and two nights with parking cost only $200. Shout out to Willie, happy 21st, buddy. The room felt really damp, like my childhood mattress. The pool area had a Mexican BBQ party going until 10. No offense to the vatos, party it up.
