For family visits or a chance to rest after a good or bad business trip, this place has been solid for us. We've stayed here repeatedly and found the conditions great each time. I've tried other hotels nearby and always read the reviews, but the joy of travel is finding a dependable go-to spot where you can rest. This is a great stop for those of us who like coming back to the same location. Poor critics and sad complaints can just be from people who are never happy and aren't looking to improve or find good lodging.

The staff were nice, and that's about all I can say in its favor. The hotel is over 20 years old and looks every bit of it. The room smelled like mildew, and the carpet looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. It needs a service overhaul and doesn't represent the Marriott name at all. Breakfast was cold eggs with no meat. Horrible stay. I'll never stay here again, and I don't understand the positive reviews.

The room stayed bright the whole time. We were on the first floor with lights right outside, and the curtains stopped about an inch short of the windowsill, so it was always lit like a dim lamp was on. The room was nice and clean, but we couldn't get it cold. The A/C was set to 70, and we kept lowering it without the room cooling down. The unit blew cold air, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

Whenever I travel to Sugar Land, I stay here. It's easy to get to Memorial Hermann hospital, grocery stores, and some light shopping. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and breakfast has plenty of options for everyone. I've never had a problem during any of my stays, and I'll definitely be back. I can't recommend this hotel more.

Two months after we'd already booked another venue and the date had passed, Ruby Garza reached out to ask for our contact information. By then, the event date we wanted had been booked, even though during our in-person tour a few days earlier we'd been shown a paper calendar with that weekend available. When Ruby finally emailed, she said she hadn't received any of our contact details, despite our leaving multiple phone numbers and information each time we called. She did acknowledge that she hadn't followed up. We'd loved the Meeting Room at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Rosenberg when we toured it. That same day, we called twice to book it and leave a deposit, then immediately emailed Ruby Garza, the Director of Sales & Marketing, using the address we were given. After no reply and urgency to get the date secured, we called again. Because of the ongoing communication problems, my sister was given General Manager Fontaine Townsend's email. We explained what happened, and he said he'd have Ruby contact us the next day. We were ready to book with the deposit in hand, but couldn't get basic follow-up. Losing our business came directly from poor communication and mismanagement, and the lack of professionalism made it impossible to proceed even though we truly liked the space. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for events, or at least securing the room in person.
