We switched rooms because the first one was not somewhere we could stay. It had spiderwebs and a spider, chips on the floor, a sticky nightstand with a broken drawer and missing knob, black mold in the tub jets, mold and dirt in the heater, and dirty air filters. The second room, across the hotel, was at least cleaner and manageable, but nowhere near worth the price. Before our October 14-16, 2022 stay, I called to ask if there was a microwave and refrigerator. I was told every room had both, but ours didn’t. Breakfast was muffins, juice, and coffee. The coffee wasn’t bad. The lobby ceiling was falling, and we were told renovations were underway. I read the reviews beforehand and thought we’d be okay, but I’ll never stay there again. I’m pretty sure the place could, and should, be condemned.

The room itself looked clean, but the bed seemed as old as the building. The floors and carpet were disgusting, and the property was a mess, with garbage cans catching what looked like water and paint chips. The check-in desk was freezing. There was nobody at check-in. I called the number, and someone walked me through the process, which ended with a lockbox, even though the owners presumably live on site. I travel a lot for work and have stayed all over, and this ties for the worst place I’ve been booked into. The reviews suggest it hasn’t changed in over five months. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more at the Lodges at Sunset Village, just down the road. That place is top-notch.

The beds were the highlight, so comfortable and inviting that we didn’t want to get up. I would have preferred firmer pillows, though. Our room was large, clean, and well appointed, with a sparkling bathroom, huge tub, and plenty of plush towels. Lotion and hand sanitizer were provided, along with a note to call the front desk if we needed other toiletries. There was a wall-mounted hair dryer and an iron in the foyer. I arrived exhausted at 5:30am, and the front desk rep was patient, professional, and personable. The lobby decor is dated, but it was clean, roomy, and attractive. Quality Inn isn’t pretending to be something it’s not. It aims to be a quiet, comfortable, inviting place to sleep, and in my experience it succeeded.

The room was dusty and badly dated, with cracks in the bathroom ceiling, a few spiders, and no hot water in the morning. Getting in was awkward too, since the front desk closes at 3pm. Access was handled over the phone, even though the owners presumably live on site. They were friendly enough, but that was about the only bright spot. This place felt like something out of The Shining. I’d strongly urge people to stay elsewhere unless a horror-movie room is their thing. Don’t let the obligatory “we’re sorry” letter below my feedback change your mind. Spend your money somewhere else.

For $128 a night, this was nowhere near worth it. It felt like a motel, not a hotel, and was dirty, smelly, dark, and badly in need of updates. Trash cans were set out to catch drips from the ceiling, and the rooms reminded me of a funeral home. The bathroom was filthy, the tub was stained, and we used toilet paper to lift the seat. It took 20 minutes for the water to get hot, no joke. There was a brown spot on the ceiling, maybe from a leak, and a round green mark on the floor under the sink. The door had marks like an animal had been trapped inside trying to get out. One area smelled like smoke. The hair dryer didn’t work. When I pressed reset on the outlet to try to fix it, the lights went out. If there had been other hotels to choose from, I would’ve asked for my money back.
