Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Mckinney - Plano North

The beds were comfortable, the shower had plenty of pressure, and the place was quiet and clean. Wi-Fi was extremely fast, and the vending machine had lots of snacks and cold drinks, including energy drinks, which was a plus for me. Laundry is available on site, but it only takes coins, not cards. Breakfast was basic, mostly cold cereal, bread with jelly, and fresh juices. I had a very good night at the economy Lodge and would stay again. I’d recommend travelers check it out before going elsewhere in the city.

It’s a good affordable spot if you just need somewhere to rest. The receptionist was wonderful and promptly brought pool towels, extra pillows, and shampoo when I asked. The pool and Hotub are open from 9am-9pm, though the sauna is permanently closed. Breakfast runs from 6:30am-9am and includes two cereal choices, toast, orange juice, and coffee. The heater gives off a burning smell and the room was musty, but nothing seemed seriously worrying.

Dave at the front desk was awesome, sweet, and helpful. The rooms are decent and clean, and I had an amazing stay. I’ll always choose this place when I need somewhere to stay.

The place feels old and run down. Unless you’re a construction worker who doesn’t care where you sleep, it feels like a sketchy motel. We were told at check-in that breakfast was available, then the next morning they said new owners had stopped providing it. Why tell us otherwise just 10 hours earlier? We were in a snowstorm and could have planned ahead. David at the front desk was no help at all. Awful.
