I won’t stay at this TRU again. My room wasn’t serviced during the three days I was there, apart from having the trash taken out. The bed wasn’t made, and I waited nearly 30 to 35 minutes at checkout while staff tried to figure out how to split payment between a gift card and a credit card. I wanted to pay for the room that way, as I’ve done at other hotels, but nobody knew how to apply a partial payment. I showed the front desk worker the full card number and expiration date. I don’t know what happened with other guests, and that isn’t my concern. I also felt uncomfortable during check-in. I asked the woman at the desk for an extra blanket, and she seemed hesitant, saying she didn’t want me to steal it. She gave me a mattress topper instead, then said she’d have to go upstairs for a real blanket. When I asked her to get one, she told me the heater wasn’t working in the room. I said I sleep with the air conditioner, not the heater, and still wanted a blanket. The way she kept looking at my card and asking whether it was mine felt odd, like she was suspicious of me. I can’t say whether other guests have caused problems, but the interaction left me feeling disrespected. On my second day, I told another desk employee I’d slept well and was having a pleasant stay despite that first impression. Breakfast was very mediocre, with few choices, and not everyone eats sausage. I just didn’t like the hotel’s vibe.

For a work trip, this was a solid place to come back to after a long day. It was quiet, clean, modern, and brand new, with a comfortable, well-arranged room and fast, reliable Wi-Fi. Check-in was quick and easy, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was just right. Good value, and I’ll stay again when work brings me back to the area.

Corlis made our stay especially good. I spoke with her on the phone a couple of times before we arrived, and she was there to check us in. She was sweet, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The lobby was nice, and we appreciated having breakfast. We were in town for Volleyball and had to leave at 6:10 AM, before breakfast officially started at 7. They’d already put out several things, including hard-boiled eggs, bread, muffins, and coffee, which helped a lot. The location was convenient, with shops and restaurants nearby. We’d gladly stay again.

The rooms were spacious enough, and since this is a newer building, the fixtures were nice. The showers had good pressure and plenty of hot water, and we could watch our own streaming services on the TV. It was our first stay at this hotel and location, though. Noise was the problem. I thought I’d picked a room less affected by other guests, but we were on the first floor between the laundry room and a conference room, and the walls seemed thin. A group gathered outside our windows talking loudly after midnight. The pool was nearby but not directly in front of our windows, and I could almost hear their whole conversation. With the high ceiling and hard floors, I also heard the guest above us walking around all night. Light sleepers might not enjoy it.
