Tru by Hilton Jacksonville Airport I-95

I work nights when I'm here on business, so I sleep during the day. On three separate occasions, hotel employees banged on my door and woke me, despite my Do Not Disturb sign. The front desk told me staff are required by policy to enter a room every three days. That doesn't work for me, and I won't stay here again. The Garden Inn across the street is a better fit. In response to the owner, I'm not going to spend time calling the hotel or Hilton customer support since I'm done staying here. You may want to rethink that policy. I'm not the only person in Jacksonville on business who works nights and sleeps during the day. I'm at another nearby hotel now, and they leave me alone while I'm sleeping.

For a short stay, this worked perfectly for me. It's a lower scale Hilton brand with a minimalist setup, so the room has little beyond a bed and fridge. The rooms are small but clean, and the bath products smelled nice. Breakfast was like Hampton Inn's, maybe just a bit better. I'd say it's best suited to an overnight stop.

Nicole was great, all smiles and friendly and helpful, but the room wasn't what we wanted. We paid for a king and got upgraded to two queen beds, which felt crowded. The room also lacked bar soap, a microwave, a coffee maker and a Bible. The shower door wouldn't close all the way, so water spilled out while we washed and we had to mop it up with a towel. We might have used the pool or hot tub, but the hot tub wasn't there, and we would have preferred an indoor pool since it was raining throughout our visit.

The hotel is right by the highway, making it easy to get on and off, with gas stations nearby. The Wi-Fi was quick and didn't glitch, and the place was very clean. Coffee is available in the lobby around the clock, and they serve a free hot breakfast in the lobby dining area. I checked in online around 5 p.m. and used the online key to get into my room. The process was simple and efficient. I also asked for a regular key in case I left my phone in the room. A great stop if you're traveling through Jacksonville.
