Best Western McMinnville Inn

We had reserved a room months in advance and tried to check in before a wedding at 1:00 p.m. They didn’t have one ready, but we explained we wouldn’t return until late that night or early the next morning, and they said that wouldn’t be a problem. When we came back to check in, they had no room for us at all.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and we were happy with it until bedtime, around 11pm. We were there for one night for UFO Fes. Guests next door came back, probably from the UFO Fes party, and talked and laughed loudly enough that we could hear their conversations and couldn’t sleep. We called the front desk, and staff said she’d call their room. They quieted down a little after a while, but we could still hear them. An hour later, my husband went to ask about a refund if we left for another hotel. They were fully booked and couldn’t move us. She had to check with her boss, who told her to go ask the guests to be quiet. My husband was too nice and said he’d check first in case they were asleep by then. While he was at the desk, someone upstairs came back and made a lot of noise walking around. Now there were two sources of noise. We couldn’t tell the person above us not to walk, and the people next door were only slightly better, so we waited, but we weren’t lucky. Around 230am they were still talking and laughing, so I finally knocked on the wall three times, pretty angrily. They heard and got quiet until around 330a, when they started chatting and whispering again. We gave up, and eventually they quieted down. The room is nice, but the walls and floors are obviously thin. You never know who’ll be in the next room, so it’s a gamble. If you’re unlucky and not used to a noisy sleeping environment, you may suffer. We don’t have kids or other people living with us at home, and need quiet to sleep. One more thing, our coffee maker didn’t work.

Best hotel service I’ve ever had by far. We travel a lot and have stayed at plenty of hotels and resorts, but this place takes the cake. The front desk gal was amazing from the minute I walked in. I’d forgotten our packnplay for our little one, and they had one I could borrow. Made my day. Ten stars all around, and that front desk gal needs a raise. 👏 👏 👏

The breakfast was top notch for this kind of service, especially the biscuits and gravy. The room was the nicest I’ve booked in a long time: clean, clean, clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. I can’t think of anything bad to say. Not possible!
