3rd St is quaint and charming, with plenty of shops to browse. We also got to enjoy an open mic night, and the front desk was very helpful. This is such a beautifully odd hotel. I loved the artwork on the walls, and the kids said it felt magical, like something from a book. Would definitely recommend.

I liked how different this old hotel was. It’s charming and unique, and the staff were great. You can spend half a day walking around and looking at the artwork on every floor, and there are multiple bars and restaurants to visit. We were there at the end of October, when the basement pub had been decorated, and it was great. I’d love to try another establishment somewhere else. I loved the area the hotel was in, too. If you’re after a fancy five-star place, you probably won’t like it.

Great people and a beautiful, one-of-a-kind eclectic atmosphere. It pains me to admit they have a stout that’s almost as yummy as Guinness.

We came to visit nearby vineyards and enjoy good local, seasonal food and drinks. We skipped eating in-house because every McMenamins has the same menu and ingredients, which gets tiring and just isn’t interesting. I’d like McMenamins to support local, seasonal ingredients. The room was very clean and well stocked, and so were the common bathrooms. I’d also encourage them to fix the broken outlet faceplate and restore the surfaces of the nightstand and common room table. The linens, robe included, could use a facelift. This was our second stay at Hotel Oregon. I love the character this location and the other McMenamins hotels in OR and WA have. They celebrate Oregon history and the people who contributed to community life, and restore amazing architectural buildings. Every location has lots of charm and makes us want to visit them all in time.

I love how McMenamins takes old buildings and transforms them while honoring their history. The art and the stories about the past preserved on the themed room walls are wonderful. I enjoy staying at Oregon Hotel, and don’t mind sharing a bathroom or not having a TV. Sometimes I work late, and it’s a reasonable price for a night. Great job, McMenamins!
