Moxy Portland Downtown

The room was just right for me traveling solo, and two people would probably be comfortable too. I loved how easy it was to walk everywhere from here. Staff, including Jake, Samantha, Shelby, Erron, were fantastic, friendly, and helpful. Everyone I met seemed happy to work there. The lobby has a fun vibe, check-in happens at the bar, and the free drink ticket was a nice extra. Some weekends there’s a DJ. Marriott is doing well here. I hadn’t realized it was a M when I booked, I just liked the price and photos. My new staycation spot. See you soon, Karen Portland.

Duncan made me a Passion Fruit Lemon Drop at the bar that was one of the best cocktails I’ve had in ages. The staff all went out of their way to make the stay memorable, and the lobby is a great place to hang out, with comfy seats and a roaring fire against the Portland rain. I came to see family and hadn’t tried a Moxy before, even though I stay at a lot of Marriott hotels. The rooms are compact but comfortable and well-appointed. You check in at the bar. I’ll be back.

My room was spotless and comfortable, the location was close to everything, and the lobby always had a fun vibe. The front desk staff managed my last-minute late checkout request, which made my day. Every bartender I met was friendly and the cocktails were great. Mark was still in training, but you wouldn’t have guessed it: he was confident, warm, and really helpful, with great local recommendations. Thanks, y’all. I’ll definitely be back! 🩷🩷

The hotel was cute, my room was clean with a decent view, and the staff were friendly. I came alone as a woman and felt safe at the hotel bar, where they gave me a ticket for a free drink. The location made it easy to try restaurants or grab something quick. But the walls were so thin I heard nonstop inappropriate sounds every night and morning, which was really disturbing when I needed to study for an exam. I parked next door for $35 a night, and a worker warned me that two car windows had been broken that morning. I took everything out and thankfully had no trouble during my stay. Without the parking issue and thin walls, I’d give it a 7/10.
