Portland Value Inn

With the kind of people they let live there, I can’t imagine this being a great place. You hear the noise and see those videos with 47828294 random appliances plugged in.

I don’t get the 2-star rating. The bed was super comfortable, the shower had great hot water, and the TV service was good. The staff were really kind, and I appreciated their hospitality. I’d definitely recommend it if you need somewhere for a quick rest or whatever.

The room itself was decent, but other guests made the stay hard to take. A family nearby seemed to be arguing, maybe the parents, while kids cried and what sounded like a video game kept going almost all the time. It was driving me crazy, so I asked to move farther away. They had no other rooms, though, and I had to put up with the noise until I left yesterday. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if loud families bother you.

I stayed for a week while I was in the area for work. The place is okay, just not great. I think people complaining about a noisy family of five to seven mean the family next to my room. The kids made some noise, as kids do, but it wasn’t nearly as extreme as those reviews say. Don’t believe everything you read here.
