Quality Inn Downtown Convention Center

The staff were really friendly and seemed eager to help, and the location is great for a lot of reasons. Still, every other part of the place was subpar and honestly gross. The conference room where I attended a training seminar was grimy, shabby, and musty, and every surface seemed dirty. The key card locks kept malfunctioning, the bathroom sink was full of hair, and there were used bandages on the floor. I’d never spend a night here if I had another option.

We booked four nights but lasted less than an hour before leaving for another hotel. At first, the staff member wrote down the wrong room number. The key card didn’t work because people were already in that room, and the number had been recorded incorrectly. In the right room, the floor by the door was sticky, there was a huge foul-smelling wet patch in front of the mini fridge, and the phone was so dirty it looked brown instead of white. The bed sank at least six inches when I sat on the edge. The walls and doors were thin enough that we could hear every conversation as we walked down the hall.

A good budget choice near the convention center, with no real issues. It’s a decent place to stay for the lowest price around, and the room was clean and functional. Breakfast was good too, with waffles, cereal, juice, oatmeal, yogurt, and apples.

The hotel is older and musty, and our room smelled so bad it really bothered our allergies. Breakfast was just waffle makers, cereal, and yogurt. The location was handy, beside Red Robin, Dennys, and Burgerville, with fairly easy access to and from I5. I didn’t know parking would cost extra because of an event when I booked. It seems odd to charge hotel guests for parking when it would be free on another day, though I understand charging people who don’t have a room. Then at 9 am the supervisor came straight into our room with her master key, without knocking. If you can stay at another hotel, I’d recommend that.
