This cute bed and breakfast is a bit off the beaten path, but the main restaurant and shopping area is still walkable. The rooms were clean and pleasant, and the staff and management were kind and helpful. The owner made delicious breakfasts. A great place to stay in Portland, and one I'd happily recommend.

We had a great weekend exploring the city and would happily stay again. Henry, one of the hosts, gave us recommendations and a little map that was really helpful. Breakfast was a wonderful three-course meal, and we enjoyed chatting with interesting people from around the world at the table. Our large, airy room had a fireplace that was nice even in April. The house's eclectic decor suited the people staying there, I guess. Though couples came and went, the house stayed very quiet. Great music played in the dining room, and tea was left out all night. I'd absolutely recommend it.

The house has so much character, and as someone who owns a Victorian over 120 years old, I really appreciated how well they’ve kept it up. The little imperfections just add to its history and charm. Debbie was a wonderful host, with great suggestions for things to do around town, and she made tasty breakfasts each morning. Coffee, tea, and infused water were ready around 7, and the afternoon baked treats were a nice bonus. My mom and I stayed in the Carriage House for a girls’ weekend in Portland, ME. We’d happily recommend it and come back.

Room 8 had plenty of room for the three of us, with a king bed and a separate sitting area with a daybed behind French doors. Everything was spotless, and we had lots of space to spread out. Debbie was so thoughtful and welcoming, even arranging a gift for our son before we arrived. The Pomegranate Inn is in a lovely Portland neighborhood, with restaurants and cafes an easy walk away. We also enjoyed the unusual, inviting decor, a generous breakfast selection, and afternoon cookies. We had a wonderful July 4th weekend and highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in room seven in the carriage house, and it made a lovely weekend hideaway: bright walls, a comfy bed, a fireplace, and a roomy bathroom. The place felt clean and fresh. Nicolette greeted us warmly, asked what we wanted from the trip, and pointed us toward great places to go. Breakfast is worth making time for. The main house has an inviting foyer, sitting room, and breakfast room, with plenty of eclectic art and decor to browse. We loved our weekend at the Pomegranate Inn, have already told others about it, and hope to return.
