Candlewood Suites Washington North by IHG

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Even though the hotel is close to the airport, noise barely bothered us, so I got a restful night. Its location also worked really well for my travel plans. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, convenient stay.

I came down from upstate New York for a little road trip and to see Avril Lavigne the next day. This ended up being my favorite hotel stay. The suite was beautiful, relaxing, and felt just right for me. It was spotless, with everything you could need in the kitchen, and the furniture wasn’t rusty or anything. I work as a housekeeper at a casino hotel back home, and these rooms top the ones there. The location was perfect for me, with lots of stores and gas stations close by. Everyone was welcoming, and the service was phenomenal. The receptionist was so genuine and nice. I’m really pleased with my stay, and sad to leave tomorrow. This will be my go-to whenever I come back!

I’ve been here for about two weeks while working a contract, and the staff have gone out of their way to take care of what I need. Even when I asked for my room to be cleaned on a day that wasn’t my usual cleaning day, they did a wonderful job. Everyone, from the GM down, has been friendly and respectful. Thank you, I’ve really enjoyed the stay.

After our family had to evacuate because of the flooding last week, we called several dog-friendly hotels and got rude responses. Candlewood Suites was a relief. Tammy listened patiently on the phone, understood how anxious I was, and answered all my questions. When Monica checked in my son, my dog, and me, she greeted us with such warmth that we immediately felt more at ease. She could see I was out of my element and even offered advice about handling what had happened. At checkout, Tammy was welcoming again and quick and efficient. She noticed my son and dog were tired and ready to go home, and took time to acknowledge and interact with both of them. Those three women made a difficult situation easier for us. I’ll use this location again and look at other locations when I need a hotel.
