Ramada by Wyndham Butler Tesla Biohealing Resort

We only booked this place because every other hotel in Butler was full that weekend. After three nights for $400, I can’t say it was worth it. The ceiling leaked onto us in the first room, and the smell of mold and smoke was awful. We were moved, but the next room wasn’t much better, and its mini fridge didn’t work, so we had to throw our food out. Cleanliness was bad in both rooms. The front desk employee was nice and did what they could with what they had. Still, this place needs major repairs, and I’d tell people to stay somewhere else.

The courtyard was lovely, and the pool was nice, if a little cold. Our room was clean, and the manager sorted out a reservation problem when I called to confirm, without charging us extra. We also got to check in early, which we really needed. One of the best hotel continental breakfasts I’ve had.

We were here for a wedding, and the Crystal Room was absolutely beautiful. Our one-night stay was decent too: the room was clean and nicely furnished, and the firm bed was comfortable. I couldn’t find any bugs, and both beds had mattress and box spring covers meant to prevent them. Breakfast impressed me. There were scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, muffins, cereal, coffee and juice. The potatoes weren’t that good, but it was a lot better than just bagels and muffins. The one small annoyance was that the bathroom had no tissues. When I called down, they said they were out. I’d stay here again if I needed to.

I felt safer than I expected, despite my family saying the area was sketchy. There are cameras all over the place. The rooms feel a bit like the early 90s, but the hotel was good, with a big indoor pool and breakfast served until 9:30 a.m. It’s also handy for food and shopping.
