A safe place to stay, with plenty of stores nearby. It’s a good spot.

There’s a long list of problems here. The whole property is run down, with holes all along the hallway walls. The exterior doors are left open, so no passkey is needed to get in, and there’s no chain lock inside the room. The hallways are dingy and poorly lit, with missing or uncovered fixtures. None of the vending machines worked. The beds had only a cover sheet, and both mattresses were filthy and stained. The bathroom was so poorly lit that it was hard to see how dirty and stained the tub was. The phone was so dirty it seemed fit only for emergencies. The breakfast area was so sparse that we skipped the “free” breakfast. Our room was booked for two, but we got one bath towel, one face cloth, one mini soap and one bath mat. I have Wyndham Rewards status that’s supposed to get me a preferred room. I requested non-smoking when I booked, but that was ignored. The sign says something like “best rates in town.” There’s a reason, and you see it as soon as you walk in. There were only 8-10 cars in the lot overnight, so apparently most people have already got the message not to stay. I could write 5,000 words about how bad this place is, but it isn’t worth my time. I hope people take the other reviews seriously. I don’t know how Wyndham/Super 8 can let this ownership damage their name and brand.

This was nauseating. I’ve stayed in lots of hotels and never seen one this awful. There were too many cockroaches to count, plus lots of bedbugs. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, the towels were dirty, and the shower was yellow and rusty. The sheets had marks, stains and burn holes. The pillows were thin and too big for their cases, and there was gunk on the walls. Nothing worked, and the room clearly smelled of smoke despite being marked non-smoking. The whole place smelled smoky. Lights didn’t work, and the hotel looked abandoned for years, out in the middle of nowhere. The staff sat on their phones or smoked outside on the bench. This deserves zero stars.

About an hour before my husband was due to land in Pittsburgh, he got a call saying his weekend room had been cancelled. When I asked why, they said housekeeping hadn’t been there for a couple of days, so they had no clean rooms. As I called around to book somewhere else for him, I found out this is a VERY common problem at this property. Even one star is generous.
