JP at the check-in desk was a real bright spot, especially since we arrived after midnight. She was pleasant, eager to help, gave us nearby breakfast options, and brought extra coffee pouches. The room didn’t measure up. There were stains on my bedsheet, thankfully off to the side, and no closet or hanger bar for clothes. One bed was less than a foot from the air conditioner, so we had to stack pillows to keep the air from blowing right on us. The sliding-door locks were redundant and prevented entry, so it felt safe. The bathroom was spotless. Between that and JP’s excellent service, I’d give it three stars, but I’d look elsewhere next time.

We only needed somewhere comfortable to sleep, and this place did the job. The room was clean and super comfy, and check-in service was exceptional. The building felt a bit dated, and the sink water pressure was a little much. For a motel, those first two things are what matter most to me.

I was there to rest and recover, which is why I’d asked for a late checkout, but I got a wake-up call at 8 a.m. When I tried to leave later, my key wouldn’t open either the main entrance or my room door. The trouble lasted 15 minutes. The front desk attendant repeatedly made new keys instead of coming to help, and kept telling me, “that’s just the way it is.” He never apologized, and I felt like I was bothering him. I’m asking for some kind of refund for the wake-up call and the mess getting back into my room. The hotel was also very run down. Food from a delivery service had been left outside a motel door and animals had spread it around. I reported it to the front desk, and he asked if it was on the other side of the fence. I said no, it was at the outside door, like I’d already explained.

I was coming from a bad Motel 6 and didn’t expect much when my wife showed me this place. But the parking lot was clean, the lights were on, and the guy at check-in was friendly. The room and bed were amazing. If I pass through again, I’ll remember this place and stay here. Much love to the owner and manager.
