Holiday Inn Express & Suites Medford by IHG

Just off the highway, this is always our go-to stop on the long drive down to Orange County. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they suggest good nearby restaurants. We can bring our small pup, and the room is always huge and clean. Every year we’re amazed again by the size and the high ceiling. We’ll be back next year for our fifth trip south.

The room was peaceful and the beds were comfortable, but the staff really stood out. My parents were traveling on their own and have mobility issues, and the team went out of their way to help them get settled and feel looked after. They even checked on them later that evening to see if they needed anything. So kind and professional.

Parking the truck and trailer was surprisingly easy. The rooms were nice, and there’s free breakfast in the lobby. They also have a little shop where you can pick up food to heat and eat in your room.

We’ve been on the road for six weeks, and this was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had. The fitness room was in great shape too. The hotel itself feels fairly new, bright, and spotless, with a roomy bedroom and a bed and pillows I found extremely comfortable. It’s dog friendly, but you wouldn’t know it from the way the place smells or looks.
