The price is hard to beat, especially for a pet friendly motel, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I got locked out of my room twice without a key. Instead of meeting me with a working key, they left the motel, and when I went to pick up my laundry and came back, nobody was there to let me into my own room so I could take my dogs out. That was the worst part, though not the only problem. It might work for a quick stop if you want to avoid much conversation with people who sometimes act like they don’t understand you.

It’s an old building, so don’t expect Hilton Garden Inn, and the staff were a little hard to understand. Still, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was roomy and had a large flat screen, the bed was comfortable, and the heater kept it warm. Both the room and bathroom were clean. You can hear the highway and train tracks nearby, though it seems like all lodging in Memphis is close to them. Not a bad place.

For the rate, this updated room was hard to beat. The staff were very nice, and I had no complaints during a cross country trip with a uhaul.

The staff were friendly, and the room was tidy, though small. We paid $75 a day, but had to clean quite a bit ourselves. I used to be a housekeeper, so I know what a clean room should look like. There was dust on the shelves, gunk on the doorknobs and light switches, and sticky spots inside the dresser drawers.

The owner was nice, and the rooms are clean and neat. The showers have been updated and the TVs are pretty big. The beds aren’t new or soft, but I could still get a good night’s rest. It’ll do for a night or two.
