La Quinta Inn & Suites Memphis Primacy Parkway

There were ants crawling all over my room, including the floor and bathroom, and someone else’s belongings were still inside the dresser drawer. The toilet seat was broken too. I texted asking for towels and never got them, so I had to go to the front desk the next day. The whole hotel smelled bad before we even entered, and inside we realized the odor was coming from the building. Only one elevator worked, and it was filthy, with what looked like spit all over the walls. The back door wouldn’t lock and was left open, which felt unsafe.

The pictures don’t look like the actual hotel, and whoever called this place nice must be out of their mind. The front door didn’t work, the place smelled awful, and no one was at the desk until I called out three times. When I asked to cancel, he charged my son a cancellation fee. I’ll be contacting the main corporation. My son booked it before checking the reviews. Don’t just avoid it, run. While I was in the parking lot, a man pulled on my truck handle three times, saying he thought it was his car. How does a truck look like a car? There were police sirens and a police helicopter overhead. I got out of there and went to a well-lit place to book somewhere else. Have a blessed day.

We got a nice first impression from the lobby and friendly staff, but the rest of the place was awful. The elevator looked vandalized, with a burned, melted-looking bottom. Both key cards failed on our room door, which looked tampered with, so they moved us to another room. It was spacious, but the carpet had lots of red stains that I hope were wine. The bench at the foot of the bed had nasty stains, and I was afraid to touch it. The toilet and the extra inside door lock were both cracked. My husband couldn’t sleep because he was worried someone might get into the room and steal our things. He’d read Google reviews about guests’ stuff being stolen. He also killed a roach on his bedside table. I wish I could share pictures here, but Agoda doesn’t offer that, so I’ll post this same review on Google with the awful photos. Don’t waste your money here, it’s not worth it.

The pool was so filthy and neglected that none of us even considered swimming, despite four sunny days during our stay. There were ants in my room too, and the hotel’s response to that was inadequate. The laundry machines and dryers barely worked. Their card readers weren’t working, and when I went to the desk for quarters, they were completely out. The clerk seemed not to care. Our group included 11 senior citizens, and with the main elevator out of service, we had to use the stairs for several floors. That was tiring and frustrating. The halls, stairwells, and room all had a persistent musty smell from mold and mildew, and the walls looked dirty and neglected. The carpet in the common areas appeared to have been soaked at some point, with mold still visible in the corners. It raised real concerns for me about the cleanliness and health of the place. My stay at the Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Memphis Primacy Parkway was a complete disappointment, with comfort and cleanliness falling below even basic expectations. I’d advise potential guests to look elsewhere.
