I wanted my $75 back so I could get the boys somewhere safe to sleep, but the employee argued over the refund and kept lowering what he said he could return, first $60, then $50, and finally said he wouldn’t refund us at all. We were exhausted and it was almost midnight, with two restless kids, so we’d tried to make the last room work. But its door wouldn’t lock from inside, and I couldn’t risk my three-year-old opening it and running out. Before that, the first room had no working heat. In the second, wires were sticking out of the wall and roaches were in the tub and on the toilet. He checked both rooms himself, and realized the second wasn’t ready to rent. The final room had a ceiling that looked ready to cave in and a not very clean tub. There was no mini fridge or microwave either, but that wasn’t the main issue. The door safety was. I stayed calm and polite through the first two rooms, then asked for a refund because I felt unsafe. I’ll be back in the morning to show the manager the three rooms his disrespectful employee tried to put us in.

The staff were friendly, and the bed was comfortable. Still, I didn’t feel safe here. I’d picked the hotel ahead of time because I wanted to get past Memphis on my way east, and that was a bad call. The room was only so-so, the floor was dirty enough that I had to wash my feet in the tub before putting on socks the next morning, and I had to guess how to cool the room because the temperature settings had worn away. Thankfully, my dog didn’t need to go outside after 7 p.m.

The room wasn’t worth the price, and the property had rubbish scattered in and around it. The bathtub was burned, the fan was filthy, and the ceiling had what looked like something had exploded on it. When we asked for a refund, the staff member seemed more concerned that we hadn’t used the room. She said she needed to inspect it first, then came back, said nothing about the refund, and started helping the next person. I had to ask if she was going to finish with us and confirm the cancellation before we left. The staff were unhelpful. Save your money and pay a little more to stay somewhere else.

Roaches filled the room, the bed and sheets had holes, and there was mold all over the bathroom. We left because it was so disgusting, and trying to get a refund turned into a difficult, unprofessional ordeal. I wouldn’t let my dog sleep here.

The room looked nice and clean, and everything else seemed okay. But the heater didn’t work, and the place definitely needs pest control for the roaches.
