Killington Pico Motor Inn

The owners are friendly, charming, and helpful. They even got cricket on the lounge TV for my husband. Our room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. It’s a distinctive place with lots of character and great value. It could use some updating, but we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

This is one of my favorite places I’ve stayed around here over the last decade. The room felt epic, and the owner was friendly and accommodating. It was clean and warm, with plenty of hot water, and affordable too. A lot of the older lodgings here are dated. If you’re after somewhere newer, there are condos and remodeled places for $$$. But if you want a clean place to stay, this one is perfect.

We picked this place thinking it would be closer to where we were spending the weekend, but it wasn’t. The parking lot was torn up, and there wasn’t much recreational parking for our truck and trailer. The pool was still covered and closed, which really disappointed my daughter. We considered the hot tub instead, but its cover was dusty and made me wonder how often it gets cleaned. The room had a jail cell kind of feel. I wasn’t expecting a Hilton, but some updating would’ve been nice. The TV was maybe 19 inches, with around 20 channels and an old late 1980s picture. The bathroom was tiny, and my daughter found baby toys and a spoon under the bed. The outdated AC didn’t blow cold air. The bed was okay, but the pillows were flat as pancakes. My husband liked the office area, though I never went in. I’m not usually one to complain, but leaving was the best part. This is somewhere to lay your head.

Getting to Killington from here was an easy, quick drive for my two-day ski trip. The hot tub was nice and hot, though it didn’t seem very clean when I used it. My room smelled musty, the blankets felt a little thin, and the shower soap didn’t leave me feeling clean after the tub.
