The price for one night was nowhere near justified. The beds were awful, with very thin, hard mattresses on metal frames and thin blankets. The bathroom was old and hadn't been updated; the heater was tucked in a cabinet under the sink. The front desk receptionist wasn't friendly either. The elevator looked like it might date from the early 1900s, and we worried we'd get stuck. The stairway wasn't convenient. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

You can hear everything through the thin walls, and the beds squeak loudly. The mattresses felt more like economy airplane seats than somewhere to sleep. Even the earplugs they provide didn't make for a decent night's rest. Avoid it.

I've returned many times for appointments at Stanford, and the front desk manager was so kind. When I checked out, he even told me it was nice meeting me. That sort of thing says a lot about their customer service. Breakfast has always been generous and included, and this time there were two kinds of omelets instead of scrambled eggs.

We got in late last week, and Andy made check-in easy with a warm welcome and lots of help. The room was clean and really comfortable, and I slept great. A fantastic stay and great service. I'd happily recommend it.

Getting to and from Stanford Hospital was easy, and everyone we met was very nice. The bed was fairly comfortable, though the room was a very size.
