Hotel Lucent

I'm here for a week and couldn't ask for better accommodations. The staff were very friendly and helpful at check-in, the rooms are comfortable and have all the essentials, and the interior is clean and modern. The breakfast is amazing and included, and there's a giant hot tub. Downtown Menlo Park is close, and Safeway is just steps away. I'd definitely recommend the place and stay again on future visits.

The room was clean and really nice, and the staff were professional. The heater wasn't working, though, and the space heater they provided didn't work either. The plugs on the nightstands were also out, so I couldn't charge my phone. Aside from that, it was a very nice stay.

I had to book this hotel, or motel, at the last minute for a business trip because everything else was either full or over the approved budget. For $400 a night, I got a smelly room, an uncomfortable bed, and constant noise from nearby cars. The front desk staff were friendly, and the bathroom had been renovated and looked modern. But hairs had been sitting in the shower since day one, which spoiled that part too.

We had to switch rooms right after arriving because the couch in the first one was dirty and stained. The hot tub was dirty too, with just one working jet, and the outdoor fireplace was full of water and wouldn't work. The continental breakfast was the worst I've seen. It seemed like the place might be in the middle of a renovation or changing owners. I wouldn't recommend it right now.
