Radisson Hotel Milwaukee NW (Menomonee Falls)

The lobby was beautiful, the room was nice, and the staff were accommodating. The restaurant food was good, and the bar staff were pretty good as well. The pool was a mess, mostly because guests hadn’t cleaned up after themselves. The side doors wouldn’t open with our key cards, which was really disappointing. Housekeeping was a letdown, too. They put our dirty glasses back after cleaning the room, and I’m pretty sure the sheets weren’t changed during our week-long stay. Still, the stay was decent otherwise.

The hotel restaurant had a decent breakfast buffet for under $10 per person. Our room was clean and spacious, and although it faced a highway, that wasn’t really a problem. The pool was warmer than most, which was great for our toddler. Mom and dad liked the clean, excellent hot tub.

The restaurant and server were great, and Lisa from the cleaning staff was excellent and very helpful. The bed was clean and comfortable, too. But the room itself was very dirty: there was a golf tee in the chair, black hair in the bathroom sink, and the shower walls badly needed cleaning. The towel rack was broken, and several other things were worn, scratched, or old enough that I called the front desk to make clear I hadn’t caused the damage. Unless you’re desperate for a room and find a great price, I’d move on. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I’ve stayed here three times and would come back. The restaurant is really good. I had the fried perch sandwich and recommend it, and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is easy to reach right off the highway. There isn’t much immediately nearby beyond a gas station and a couple of other restaurants, but there’s plenty in the area a short drive away. The room was nice, with a mini fridge and the usual amenities, plus a fun surprise: a waterfall shower head. You don’t hear other guests unless they’re being loud in the hall. Internet was fine for casual use, but it stuttered when I tried 720p60 video or higher quality.
