Super 8 by Wyndham Menomonie WI

The staff were friendly, and check-in and checkout were really efficient. The room was a decent size and the bed was super comfortable. I found a tiny spider crawling in the bathroom, which was a little annoying, but otherwise it was mostly clean and worth the price. It isn’t fancy, so don’t expect that, but the stay was beyond what I expected.

I stayed in early July 2025 after booking online through StayForLess.com for $74.81 total, under confirmation #2531727. At arrival they said they couldn’t find my reservation, even after I showed the confirmation. Since it was late, I gave them my Visa and was told they’d look for it later. I had my service dog with me and was told that wouldn’t be a problem. Because I’m disabled and not steady on my feet, I asked for a room near the front or at the end of the hall, but got one about halfway down. The next morning, when I called to extend my stay by a day, they said I couldn’t remain because of my dog. The manager helped me take my luggage out, and the room was clean. I asked for a receipt when I left and was told it would be emailed, but it never arrived. Instead, I saw a $150 charge for the night and another $150 for “dog poop” in the room, though there was none. I disputed it with my bank, but management sent the bank a false response, leaving me with a $300 bill for a room I’d already paid for through StayForLess.com. For a Super 8, the room charge was exorbitant, and management falsely billed me for “dog poop” even though the manager knew that wasn’t true. I’ve filed an ADA complaint about how I was treated with my service dog. I’m also pursuing charges through the District Attorney’s office over the false Visa charge, and I’ve complained to Wyndham Hotels because Super 8 is one of their brands.

My son stayed there last night because of the bad weather. He has cerebral palsy and isn’t very steady on his feet, and they always treat him well. His room was clean and quiet. I’m grateful someone took time from their work to help him to his car this morning so he could get to work. Thank you to whoever helped him. He’ll stay there again when we have bad weather.

The king room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and the price was great. Very nice hotel. I’d highly recommend it if you’re passing through the Menomonie area. Thanks, Super 8!
