Four Points by Sheraton Meriden

The pool and gym were awesome. The pool was warm, and I know it was cleaned well because I watched while working out. I took my kids over Memorial Day weekend 2021, and the staff were phenomenal. The elevator is slow, and there wasn't complimentary breakfast at the time.

The staff are helpful and really nice, and check-in was fine. But my bathroom shower looked like it had mold, so I didn't use it. The hallways smelled like a pool room, and the rooms were very dated. The whole hotel needs work and updates to feel more modern and enjoyable.

At $150 a night, this was poor value. Breakfast wasn't included, and the $12 buffet was very sparse. The rooms also had no mini fridge or microwave, even though the website said they did. The front desk brought up a mini fridge but charged $10 a day for it. The place was clean and has potential, but the rooms and public areas badly need updating and the amenities should meet current standards.

The pool was clean and had plenty of towels, and the conference room worked for the event, though it looked dated. I attended a social gathering at both spaces, but not everything was ready when guests arrived. Even getting basics like forks, napkins, and chairs for the barely set table turned into a whole ordeal. The woman assigned to the party was nice but clearly overwhelmed. A billing dispute with management at the end left this at barely three stars.
