Holiday Inn Express and Suites Meridian-Boise west by IHG

We stayed overnight on a Saturday, and the only real issue was noise from motorcycles racing along the freeway at night. They weren’t Harley’s, and sounded like they were “screaming”; they kept us awake for a while. I’d suggest an even-numbered room on the back side of the hotel. Otherwise, the Meridian Holiday Inn is pretty new, with very nice, large rooms, a perfect breakfast, and a great location. Everything else was great.

Kara at the front desk made extending our stay at the last minute really easy. From check-in to breakfast and housekeeping, the staff were welcoming and professional, and their kindness made us feel at home. We had a fantastic visit and will be back. Thanks to the whole team!

The breakfast staff were terrific, especially the two women who kept clearing tables and chatting cheerfully with guests. The food was the usual eggs, sausage, bread, and pancakes. The coffee machine was a letdown, though, with only decaf and medium roast available, no dark roast or espresso drinks. The suite was spacious and clean, with no musty carpet smell, normal air-conditioning noise, great shower pressure, and Dove soaps. There’s no kettle, and staff said to use the lobby coffee machine for hot water. The tissues were nearly gone and there wasn’t another box. Kids running and jumping upstairs made nonstop stomping noise day and night, enough to give us headaches. The hotel has standard amenities like pools, a gym, and laundry, which costs four quarters per run per machine. Plenty of parking, and the road noise was acceptable.

Brooklyn was so welcoming and helpful at breakfast, and she added a lot to our stay. The food was well prepared, there was a good variety, and all the staff were friendly and professional. We’d just finished eating and had a wonderful experience. Lloyd & Patty Evans
