For a motel built in the 60s, this is perfectly acceptable. It’s older, but it’s been kept in good shape, and the owners are warm and make you feel welcome. They tend to be full, so book ahead because finding an open room can take a while. The weekly rates are good if you’re staying longer. Just don’t expect five-star accommodations. I do wish the toilet were bigger, though. I could barely fit on it.

The beds felt like sleeping on the floor, and the water was brown and barely warmer than room temperature. The AC kept shutting off during the night, so I’d wake up sweating and have to get up to turn it back on.

I was there for several weeks while my husband traveled for work. Breakfast wasn’t included. Housekeeping made me especially uncomfortable: one female employee made negative comments and said she didn’t like customers being around while they cleaned the room. The staff were very rude.

The room smelled so bad that I bought a candle to try to cover it up. The website promised a hair dryer in the room, but there wasn’t one, and the advertised free breakfast didn’t exist. The bathtub was nasty, the curtains had a big hole, and the towels and washcloths were yellowed and torn. There wasn’t an alarm clock either. I felt dirty, and it was overpriced. I really don’t recommend it.
