Operations Manager Jack gave us a warm welcome and had great local tips. We enjoyed talking with him, and the shuttle was appreciated too. The team happily took us to nearby spots and brought us back. Breakfast also made a good impression: every morning we went, there were two kinds of sausage, bacon, plenty of fruit, and the usual options. They kept replenishing the buffet right through the end, which felt generous. The hotel is a little dated, though not enough to put me off recommending it. The location worked well for us, with Mosaic District just up the road, Tyson’s Corner nearby, and Dunn-Loring Metro close by. There's also a small shopping center next door with a CVS and an Aldi. Great experience!

The staff were welcoming and accommodating as soon as we checked in, and the room made this one of the nicer Residence Inns I've stayed at. It wasn't quiet, though, with loud noises during our stay. Breakfast could have had better choices, maybe an omelet bar. The room made up for that, and it was a comfortable, luxurious-feeling stay.

The room was fine, but the unresolved security deposit issue brought down my stay. I was charged the deposit at check-in and told it would be refunded after checkout. It still hasn't been returned despite the time that's passed and my follow-ups. I hope management can explain what's going on and refund it.

The Merrifield Residence Inn was just what I needed while my Kitchen was gutted and remodeled. I stayed the whole month of February and was quite pleased. It's not fancy and could use some updating, but the Staff was wonderful and it was VERY quiet. The weather was VERY cold with a bit of snow, so having a Gas Fireplace in my room was great. I used it EVERY day. Breakfast is traditional and substantial. Unlike some hotels that stop refilling the Buffet in the last 30 minutes, this one kept it stocked right up to the end. There's no restaurant in the hotel, but plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance. I also liked the gated underground parking. This will be my first choice next time I need a "Second Home".

The kitchen was really convenient, with a refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, and small stove, and the room was nice and clean. The TV wasn't working, but they came right away to fix it. Breakfast was a lovely perk, and the staff were excellent.
