Four Points by Sheraton Little Rock Midtown

The lobby looks nice when you walk in, but the rooms were the complete opposite. The place was outdated, dirty, unsafe, and smelled awful. The bed skirt was stained and filthy all over, like it hadn't been changed in a long time. The old carpet seemed like the main reason for the smell. The mattress was so worn I could feel springs poking and hurting me whenever I moved, and it was sunken where other people had slept. The room doors don't auto-lock, so you have to remember to lock them yourself. Breakfast was said to be included when I booked, but it wasn't. I don't know that I'd have trusted the food anyway. Someone local called the hotel “roach town,” and for me this was by far the worst hotel I've stayed in, despite traveling for a living.

I prepaid because I was in town for a special event, and they said it would make check-in faster. They took my incidental deposit, then told me there was an error with my reservation and they wouldn't honor it. For 3.5 hours I went back and forth with the hotel and booking company. They each blamed the other, and nobody tried to fix it. I ended up leaving and finding somewhere else to stay. I was treated like crap and will never stay here or recommend it again.

Just a heads-up if you're checking in: they won't take Chime or Cash App-style debit or credit cards. They don't tell you until you're standing at the front desk. The Marriott down the street said that rule isn't in their book, so it doesn't seem to be a company-wide standard. That's a good way to lose business. Maybe if their machines weren't trash and badly in need of repair, they could do their jobs. Do better, Four Points.

Breakfast isn't free here, despite what the listing says. They charge $12.99 plus tax per person. The room was mediocre at best, with a thermostat and lights that didn't work. Food delivered to the hotel can get stolen from outside your door, and they can't really help because camera access is limited. I was here on business and would ask my company never to use this hotel again. I'd give it negative stars if I could.
