Superior Suites Phoenix Mesa

After staying a full week, I caught the manager, Derik, in a lie. He said he hadn't entered my room himself, but didn't know I had personal surveillance there. See photos. That raised a huge red flag, especially since I had told him nobody was allowed in. Arizona laws prohibit staff from entering without exigent circumstances. The service was poor in other ways, too. Weekly guests get housekeeping only once a week, the advertised ice machine doesn't work, and the Wi-Fi is useful only in the lobby, which is inconvenient and reeks of a putrid smell. I'll consider filing suit for breach of contract. The night desk lady on 12/18/2025 was rude for no reason, and my room had no towels or washcloths. The rooms look nothing like the online photos. Daily guests get housekeeping every day, but weekly guests pay more and get service only once a week. That makes no sense.

I'm a truck driver and stay at motels pretty often. This is the best one I've found for getting some rest, and it felt like the safest place with the friendliest staff. I think the manager, Deric, does a great job running it.

The bathroom door was broken, the sink badly cracked, and the tub rusted out around the drain. There were stains on the carpet, and the room felt worn and dated. It hadn't been refurbished in what looked like at least 30 years. There weren't any charging ports, and the only chair was an office chair instead of something comfortable.

While we were staying here for a few months, employees came into our room after being told not to, and clothing was stolen. The big lady at the front desk and the owner seemed not to care. Better to go down the street to Best Western or Extended Stay, which are way better.
