The morning breakfast attendant was friendly and really stood out, and the breakfast was at least hot. Most of the rest of the stay felt below what the $96 nightly rate plus tax should buy. It seemed more like a $79 hotel, or less with the cleaning and upkeep issues. There was a $10 self-parking charge for an open lot with no garage or security gates, which felt unreasonable. Maybe that money could go toward more maintenance staff. The room had little things that could’ve been fixed easily: scuffed walls and door edges, missing cabinet handles, sticky residue on the bathroom floor and frames, and bits of debris in the carpet. The clear, sticky glue could be removed. The pillows were awful and squishy, like they were ten years old, and there wasn’t an extra blanket. Staff were just OK. The check-in clerk looked like she was wearing sweatpants, which felt tacky. There was no maid service when I returned, yet there was a QR sign asking for tips. What had they done to earn one? The snack shop was poorly stocked, though I understand selection is limited in those shops.

Breakfast had lots of choices and was great. For the price, I was very pleased and had a great stay, so I’d come back. The hotel is conveniently right off the highway. Our room smelled strongly of smoke at first, but the air purifier in it cleared that up quickly. The linens had a musty smell, like they’d been sitting around.

I really love the staff here. They’re pleasant and professional every time I visit, and they’re so accommodating with our annual women’s retreat. Thank you all for supporting me personally and our group when we gather to worship the Lord!

Breakfast was a highlight. As a Hilton Diamond member who’s had plenty of hotel breakfasts, I thought this one was on point. I woke up on the 3rd floor to bacon smells drifting down the hall, which should count as an amenity. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and everything worked as it should. Hampton Inn & Suites Mesquite is connected to the Mesquite Convention Center, so you can get around the shared spaces without crossing a parking lot in conference clothes and heels. A reliable Hampton Inn, and a great fit if you’re in town for an event there.

The convention space is attached to the hotel and was very clean. The staff have been phenomenal, always friendly and ready to help. This is my second year staying here for a convention, and I love the place. I’d consider staying here whenever I’m in the Dallas area, even if it means a bit of a drive. Definitely worth it.
