Mesquite Inn Suites

The fire alarm had a plastic bag over it. I hope they’re shut down immediately. They even told me this wasn’t the Hyatt, so I shouldn’t expect 100 percent satisfaction. My room keys didn’t work when I checked in. They give you only ten minutes to inspect the room, and there’s no refund. The first room had black mode in the ceiling; in the second, I found a bug in the bed. I spent $100 for ntn. I’m calling the health department because they have bugs and don’t care. Horrible.

It’s handy for getting to downtown, Mesquite, Garland, and plenty of other places, and the price is reasonable. On weekends, though, the crowd can be a bit tough. The Jacuzzi rooms are a strange idea. They feel humid and dirty, and there’s something off about the room when you walk in. It’s not too bad overall, but you get what you pay for.

The staff are friendly and direct, and the rooms have plenty of space, plus a fridge and microwave. I didn’t get a chance to take pictures. Personally, I prefer hard floors to carpet. That’s just my preference, not a complaint. I’d stay here again and would recommend it.

The room was clean and the shower was good, but I’d be better off somewhere else. There’s no laundry, the pool was bad, though it was October, and the fridge didn’t work. It took me about an hour to figure out the lights, but they finally came on after I’d been T.O. about it. A week costs $75 plus $350, with no refunds. An 8-hour room is $75. One staff member was friendly and the other less so, but both seemed normal. I’d been asking for a week for three days, yet they charged me for both a day and a week. I guess the extra money goes toward cleaning.
