The manager offered me a late check-out, which I couldn’t use because my flight was very early. I appreciated the gesture, and I’ll definitely return to the Meridian. The room matched the photos, was extremely clean, and had a wonderful balcony view. Service was impeccable, from the first WhatsApp contact to the help at the front desk. The hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from Ocean Drive, so it’s easy to enjoy the best of South Beach and still have a comfortable, relaxing place to stay. Thank you all for the warm hospitality and outstanding service.

Noise was the biggest issue during our 5 nights at The Meridian Hotel at the end of February. On weekends, guests talked loudly in the courtyard until late, around 5am one night. With so few staff onsite overnight, quiet hours didn’t seem to be enforced. Light sleepers should know that. For close to $300/night all-in, it didn’t feel like great value, even though the location is excellent. We were close to the beach, good shops, and restaurants, with upscale hotels in easy walking distance if you want a nicer pool with a day pass. There’s also a nice coffee shop in the building. The hotel has a relaxed boutique feel rather than luxury. Our room was a good size, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the AC worked very well. Staff responded when we texted for a luggage rack and a curtain fix. A few things felt surprisingly cheap for the price, especially the very thin, small bath towels, more like gym towels than hotel towels. The decor is minimal, and there’s no “Do Not Disturb” sign, even if you ask. Housekeeping woke us during an afternoon nap, even though we’d texted the hotel not to come to the room. The pool is tiny, but looks like it does in the photos. Amenities are basic: iron, coffee machine, toiletries, and hair dryer. Front desk hours are limited, 9am-4pm, though staff responded to texts outside those hours. Better attention to late-night noise and a few comfort upgrades would help the hotel live up to what its location and reviews suggest.

Everything is walkable from this place, which is in a prime location and close to shops where you can grab little things you forgot. The price is amazing for this area. I had a small hiccup, partly my fault, since the queen room I booked was too small for me. I went downstairs and the manager moved us to a king room upgrade. They communicated well and texted throughout our stay. There’s also an amazing coffee shop downstairs with an earthy, unique vibe. 10/10 experience, I’ll definitely book again.

A good setup for remote work: sleep upstairs, then head downstairs for coffee and a workspace. The little coffee spot below the rooms was a lovely bonus, and the staff were welcoming and wonderful. There were no issues or hidden fees or shady stuff from their end. The location is nicely centered, with a few blocks’ walk to the beach one way and the park the other, plus plenty to do. You can sometimes hear people walking overhead because of the wooden floors, but it wasn’t a major issue. The room was simple but had everything I needed: fridge, coffee, good shower, comfortable bed, and TV. I’d recommend it and happily stay again.

The pool was clean and nice, though I wish it stayed open longer. The atmosphere is always a vibe, the place was super clean, and the AC was amazing. They provide towels, and there’s a nice cafe next to a bar. Walgreens and Target are an easy walk away. Parking is available to purchase and is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, but it’s the most convenient option. Getting here off the highway is very easy.
