Four Points By Sheraton Houston Energy Corridor

I had dinner at the restaurant on two evenings. I can't speak to the drinks since I didn't have any, but Tara did a great job with the food and drinks for me and others in the bar area. One night she was cooking, serving, and bartending on her own. She kept busy, but timed my appetizers thoughtfully so I could finish them before my entree arrived. The food was well prepared, and I enjoyed the meal. I appreciate her care and the effort of the staff overall in making my stay enjoyable. The hotel itself was clean and nicely decorated, and my room looked and smelled clean. The bed was comfortable, and I liked the scented hair and body wash. The weight room was clean too. I wandered into the pool area because I like to swim, and the water temperature was perfect. The building and amenities were top notch. Thanks!

I won't stay here again. My company comes to Houston often and usually stays nearby, so we decided to try this hotel. As soon as I entered my room, I saw a dead cockroach on the floor. I reported it to the woman at the desk. She offered to spray the room, but said I'd have to stay out for two hours. When I asked for another room, she got annoyed and rude. My coworkers were on their way, so I told them about the roach; they wanted to cancel. The desk clerk became even more standoffish and said it was too late, they had to keep their rooms or pay, even if they felt uncomfortable. She told me the same applied to me: since I'd checked in, I had to stay or pay and leave. I left. The staff were very rude, there were cockroaches in the rooms, and the whole experience left me feeling dirty. If this is how Marriott operates, I might start using Hyatt or Hilton for work and play.

Tara was wonderful at the bar and grill. She was running it on her own and still gave great hospitality. The fish and chips were amazing, and the cooler heads cocktail paired with them hit the spot. I'd definitely recommend trying the bar restaurant if you're visiting.

The location was great for work travel, and the team were helpful and accommodating. We had some problems unrelated to our stay, and they looked after our rental car and made sure our needs were covered. A shout-out to Ms. Evans and Jimmy T. You're both much appreciated. That top-notch customer service goes a long way!
