Travelodge by Wyndham Houston Cy-Fair

I’ll have two crews working in this area three nights a week for the next eight months. I booked rooms 310 and 210. Room 210 was full of roaches, so I went downstairs and got moved to 308, which had roaches and a toilet that wouldn’t flush. Room 310 had roaches too. I ended up sleeping in my truck. I’m glad I found this out with two rooms, not four next week.

The pictures online misrepresent the place. There’s no pool, paved areas, nice paint, or anything else shown in them. It’s also in the middle of nowhere, with no public transportation, so getting around is hard. The rates seem decent, but they try to squeeze every penny out of you. Even after my longest extended stay, 20 days at $45 to $50 a day, $55 a day, they’d bang on the door early in the morning if payment was one minute late and threaten to kick you out. I hate that we went there. I’ll never stay again.

My girlfriend and I loved the place. The room had two beds, and everything else was great. The only downside was that the room smelled like poop. That’s why I’m still giving it five stars.

The constant noise, loitering, and apparent illegal activity made it hard to feel safe or trust the place. The room itself also felt far below the Wyndahm standard, with peeling paint, broken floors, and stained blankets. It’s astonishing that Wyndahm would associate with such a low-quality hotel. I’m extremely disappointed they endorse it.
