Casablanca Villas

The lofts at Casablanca Villas look lovely, but the building has serious problems and the management seems directionless. The rooftop pool is still a gaping hole: management said it would close for two weeks in August 2022, but by February 2023 there had been little real progress or any sign it would reopen soon. Landlords keep charging repair fees and citing supply chain issues, even as nearby buildings have turned things around quickly. At this price, mid-beach has better buildings with working amenities and no major drop in living standards. Inside the building, animal waste is often left in the hallways, carpets are stained with urine, and insects and roaches are a constant problem. Packages are commonly stolen, several security cameras are broken, and the remote management team in New York is mostly unresponsive. Repairs also seem to favor patching things up instead of lasting fixes. The building doesn’t seem equipped for Florida’s frequent rain and bad weather. Some units already have holes in their ceilings, which open up again in heavy rain. Elevators break down often and sound their alarms, leaving residents to take the stairs, which flood too. The management is highly incompetent. I’d strongly advise anyone interested in renting here to stay away until these problems are addressed.
