First On Jefferson

The customer care was excellent, and the owners have made a charming place in the heart of the key. The apartment had what I needed and was decorated with real grace and good taste, so I felt at home. It’s a quiet, pleasant spot, about a ten-minute walk from the beach, restaurants, and shops. I’ve visited Miami several times, and my recent stay at Jefferson Suites was my best experience there. Thanks for making my vacation unforgettable. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for my mother’s birthday in February 2019. The scenery outside was very nice, and the staff were friendly, but the room was terrible and not clean at all. There were roaches, and we were afraid to cook there. It wasn’t worth the money, especially with the $15/day parking charge. Do not stay here!

We were seven girls and felt unsafe during our four days in the first suite, which we booked through airbnb. The space was put to use, and there was a large table with lots of chairs on the side for eating, but nowhere outdoors to lounge. The owner said he had nicer properties and did try to accommodate us. We probably won’t stay here again, though we might try another one. Our main concerns were privacy and security. The suite is the first room as you enter the house, with two beds right against the windows, so someone outside could watch you sleep. There were no kitchen shades, and at 1am a man stood there looking in and screaming at us. The walls were thin, so we always heard the neighbors. People renting the back suites or upstairs kept knocking at all hours because they thought our entrance was the main one. The pantry’s wooden sliding door at the back of the kitchen was locked from the other side, and we could hear people in there. We didn’t know if anyone could enter our space when we were away, which felt sketchy. The lock broke on our last night, and we had to wait for the owner to come fix it and let us in. Both bathroom lights stopped working on day two and were fixed the next day, but the owner hadn’t told us anyone was coming to do the repair, so we worried because our personal things weren’t put away.

A good find for a group of guys. There are lots of places to sleep, two bathrooms, and a well-stocked kitchen, plus space inside and out to relax. One bathroom is in a bedroom, so the other can get a bit busy. You can easily walk to the beach, the bay, and Lincoln.
