Kenmore Village Hotel, South Beach

We spent our days at the beach and afternoons by the pool with fresh, well-made cocktails during happy hour. The pool also had complimentary sunscreen, after-sun lotion, and lemon water, little details that made a difference. The outdoor tropical space felt like an escape, and even though the hotel is close to the beach and shops, it was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. We ate at La Terraza Nicabanos and looked forward to breakfast outside each morning. On Cinco de Mayo, we came back from dinner planning to head straight upstairs, but La Terraza Nicabanos offered us a complimentary cocktail and cigar. We enjoyed them in the outdoor space with warm weather, lovely evening lighting, and a DJ playing relaxing tropical house music. The staff were playful and fun, and we left feeling relaxed. This was my second visit to the Kenmore in Miami, and it was even better than last year under different management. The hotel and bedding were clean and fresh, and the staff were attentive and accommodating. Gabriela at the front desk and Mel were especially helpful at checkout. The staff genuinely care, and we’ll be back.

Sabrina made check-in quick and easy, and was warm and professional from the moment I arrived. She explained the amenities clearly, made sure I had what I needed, and shared helpful local dining and sightseeing suggestions. Whenever I had a question or needed help during my stay, she responded promptly and patiently, even when the desk was busy. She was consistently friendly, calm, and attentive. Her care for guests made a real difference, and she represents Kenmore Village Hotel so well. I’d recommend the hotel, especially because of people like Sabrina. Thanks for making my Miami Beach stay such a good one. I look forward to coming back.

The pool is a big part of why I love Kenmore Village Hotel. With palms and lush greenery around it, it feels like a tropical island and blocks out the nearby street noise. It’s a great place to unwind. I’ve been visiting South Beach regularly for 11 years, at least 4-5 times a year, and I’ve already booked my December stay. This was my second time here, and I stayed in June with my family of six. Everyone was happy with the clean, comfortable, well-equipped rooms. The team is friendly and professional, and the service keeps exceeding my expectations. Sabrina at the front desk is always upbeat and ready to help. Her restaurant knowledge makes her a great resource. Andre, the bartender, was just as friendly, always smiling and happy to help. The location is ideal, with the main South Beach attractions about 10-15 minutes away. Kenmore Village Hotel, South Beach is my first choice. I recommend it for the comfort, staff, pool, and value, and think everyone should give it a try.

We left after about two hours and had to check into the Esme instead. The hotel wouldn’t refund us or work with Booking to sort things out, and several days later they still weren’t answering or returning calls. The staff were unfriendly and unwilling to help. We’d booked this stay for our last night in Miami after a cruise. No one warned us that the elevator was out, either by email or through a Booking message, which was a huge hassle with weeks’ worth of luggage. Our room wasn’t ready, so they offered to store our bags. One item attached to our luggage was stolen while it sat openly in the lobby beside the elevator all day. They had no way to check cameras. When we finally got upstairs, our room was 10-15 degrees warmer than the hallway, and the AC was barely blowing. With all of that, we couldn’t stay. We give this place one star. If you’re considering it, look at the Esme up the road instead.
