Maison Felix

The people here made the biggest impression on us. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and it felt like they really cared about making our stay a good one. You notice the upbeat, vibrant mood as soon as you walk in. The hotel has a stylish, fun energy without feeling overwhelming, and its location is close to everything while still feeling like a little oasis of its own. Maison Felix is a gem in Miami.

The location adds a lot to the stay: the beach, promenade and good shops are about 100 meters away. My room was spacious, beautiful and comfortable, with a great shower and a quality bed that made for a good night’s sleep. The hotel is new, clean and well organized, with a warm, family-like feel. Staff are available around the clock and quick to help, even with small things like coffee capsules, always with kindness and a smile. The value for money was outstanding. I travel almost every week and stay in more than 100 hotels a year, so I can say this was truly exceptional in every respect. Thanks to the whole team for such thoughtful, professional service. I highly recommend it.

The neighborhood felt older and more local, and maybe it’s being redeveloped. As two women who didn’t know Miami well, we had a few moments of discomfort and stayed more vigilant, though nothing happened. There are plenty of restaurants a 5-10 minute walk away, with more reasonable prices than other parts of Miami, and the area moves at a slower pace. We had a great girls’ trip here and can’t wait to return. A special thank you to bellman Jorge, who was incredibly warm and went out of his way to make the stay better. The hotel is small, under 30 rooms, so it felt more intimate than most places we’ve stayed. The property is beautiful, and the private pool area was so relaxing we could’ve stayed there all week. Even one of the cheaper rooms was spacious and lovely, and did the job perfectly. Beach passes include two chairs and an umbrella, with the beach a seven-minute walk away. Since the hotel is new, there’s no restaurant or bar yet, though I suspect that may come later. They let us bring our own food and drinks.

The pool had a great sunny feel, and the beach service was a special bonus. Each room includes two new cushioned beach beds and an umbrella, and the beach is just two blocks away, with clear water and a sandbar. I stayed in two rooms: first an atelier suite on the ground floor, right by the pool, with a huge living area and gorgeous luxury design; then a comfortable signature room upstairs overlooking the landscaped courtyard and pool. Both impressed me for the price. In the suite, the king mattress, pillows and sheets were incredibly comfortable, and the blackout blinds made the room completely dark. The living room had a new 70-inch Samsung TV. There was a huge rain shower, nice-smelling toiletries, soft towels and robes, plus a minibar with good snacks and drinks. The Nespresso machine, kettle and steamer/iron were handy too. Housekeeping was impeccable, and every staff member was kind and accommodating. I’ve just checked out after a week, including four nights in the suite, and would absolutely recommend Maison Felix. It felt like a real hidden gem in Miami Beach, and I’d stay again.
