Miami Beach International Hostel

**Please beware.** Safety and security don't seem to be priorities here. I had to call the police twice to have a homeless man escorted from the area in front of my room. There's no front desk agent available to call after hours, and the back door is repeatedly left open for anyone to use. *Be safe.*

I couldn't stay there. The place smelled like weed, the elevator was dirty, and there was a dark spot on the sheets in my room. The mattress had a cheap elastic feel. The receptionist was nice and tried to do her best, but I still lost money. They charged me for the first night even though I was there for only 15 minutes. I don't recommend it at all.

The location is convenient, but this was my first and last stay. The room was okay, though the floor was dirty and needed sweeping. There were roaches in the room, and when I told the front desk, they came up with Raid and sprayed around. I had a rental car for one day and used street parking while we were out most of the day. At night, I parked at 13 and Collins, where they charge a flat rate overnight and by the hour after 5am.

The location was the only good thing. The rooms were overpriced, and the mattresses were pathetic. Breakfast, drinking water, and cleaning were all missing during my four-day stay, which cost me $716 for four nights. The desk is staffed only from 9am to 6pm. I messaged through Booking.com to say I’d arrive late, but they never sent check-in instructions. When I got there, I was locked out without an entry code. I got in only because another guest happened to be leaving. With nobody at the desk, I had to call a landline for help, which was impossible without a local SIM card, so I eventually used Viber Out. I also helped other guests who were stranded with the same problem. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.
