The Betsy - South Beach

Gustavo at the rooftop pool really made the trip for us. He was so welcoming and wonderful, and the staff throughout the hotel were friendly too. We loved the character of the place, the lively neighborhood, the food, and our room. This is our new South Beach spot for vacations. We’ll be back!

The beds were wonderfully comfortable after long days in the sun, and we had a great time relaxing in the room, at the lobby bar, and around the pools. Josh at the lobby bar made my birthday feel special, and everyone we met was friendly and attentive. The Besty has old-fashioned, white-glove luxury, with Art Deco details, jazz bars, and gallery-style art walls. It isn’t a fit if you’re after modern or coastal style. We loved the history, service, and beach location, and would happily recommend it.

We celebrated our anniversary at The Betsy, and George made a great first impression when he checked us in. He stayed professional and upbeat throughout our visit. Our room was comfortable, and it was only a short walk to the beach. The complimentary chairs and umbrella were a nice touch. We also enjoyed time by the pool, where the bartenders were friendly and attentive. On our last day, Mark M. was very helpful with our bags. It was a memorable stay, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

We found it hard to leave the hotel, even with all there is to do in Miami. On a beautiful Thursday evening, live jazz made the place even better, and we kept debating whether to see friends or stay and enjoy more of the hotel. We’ll definitely include The Betsy in our next Miami trip. The food was a highlight from breakfast through dinner. I’m a picky eater, but the fries, steak, and everything else we tried exceeded my expectations. The staff made us feel like family and went out of their way to make us feel seen and heard.
